ME
A Quick Portrait to See who is Riding this Dirty Motorbike
in the Dust to Meet Children all Around the World

M
y name is Didier Martin. I was born in 1956, in France, in Normandy.
At the age of 15 I left school to do an apprentiship as a pastry chef.
In 1978, I immigrated in Australia (Melbourne) to work in a French Patisserie. Soon after I got married and had two children.
I road race motocycle for 4 years, mostly in the 250cc class, then I took out running.
In the nineties, I combined my love of running and travel to visit Central and South America while running in the Los Angeles, Boston, Berlin, New York and London Marathon.
In 1997, I rode my Yamaha Tenere 660 from Melbourne to Paris, crossing 17 different countries through Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe for a total of 35,000 kms.
Now, I am ready for my next challenge, which is to ride my bike around the world, through Africa, Europe, Russia and the Americas. Not only for me but for the children, with the association World Vision.
