ABSTRACT
Akhtardanesh B, Derakhshanfar
A, Ghanbarpour R, Unusual case of acanthomatous
hyperkeratosis in a domestic short hair cat, Online J Vet Res 13(1):32-40, 2009. This paper describes in details the clinical and pathological aspects
of unusual acanthomatous hyperkeratosis skin lesions
that resemble Infundibular Keratinizing Acanthoma (IKA) in a Domestic Short Hair cat. Acute
moist dermatitis in the perineal region, pododermatitis and hyperkeratosis of footpads among with
Pustule and crust formation in the marginal surface of pineal and nasal planum was noted in clinical examination simultaneously.
Results of clinical examination besides pathological finding proposed the
probability of Infundibular Keratinizing Acanthoma tumor as a predisposing factor for pododermatitis and nasal hyperkeratosis.
