Sarchahi AA, Vesal N, Gholipour MA. Effects of acepromazine-xylazine
combinations on intraocular pressure, pupil size and heart rate in clinically
normal dogs, Online J Vet Res 13(1):63-70, 2009.
Dose dependent effects of
intramuscular acepromazine-xylazine combinations with
atropine on intraocular pressure (IOP), pupil size and heart rate were
evaluated in 24 dogs. Results showed a decreasing effect on IOP in both right
and left eyes following sedation with various doses of acepromazine-xylazine
combination with or without atropine, although these changes were within normal
ranges.
