ABSTRACT

Stern AW, Unidentified microfilariae in the blood of a western grey kangaroo, Macropus fuliginosus, Online J Vet Res 13(2):19-21, 2009. Unidentified microfilariae were detected in a blood sample from a single western grey kangaroo, Macropus fuliginosus in Western Australia.  Microfilariae shared characteristics with those of Breinlia ventricola although striking differences in length and distance of the terminal nucleus to the tail tip were observed.  Identification of the microfilariae was unsuccessful.
