Transmissions were recieved by the USS LEVIATHAN in a recent exercise conducted in the Bandar System. These transmissions were evaluated after the exercise was completed and it was found that they were ancient Terran communication signals known as "Television"

Further examination of these signals indicated that some were not of Terran origin.

The USS AURORA is ordered to investigate the origins of these transmissions, a location on the far side of the Quadrant

The USS AURORA will be assisted in this FIRST CONTACT mission by two mission specialists. A civilian specialist reknowned for their work on 20th and 21st Century Terran History, and a Starfleet First Contact Specialist.

Mission Log

The USS AURORA determined the precise origin of the intercepted transmission and proceeded at full speed to that location. First Contact Specialist R'all Chung and Terran Historian Harry Nielsen were picked enroute. The origin of the transmission could only be reached through a small wormhole. An away team composed of the FCO, CSciO, XO and the First Contact Specialist disembarked the USS AURORA aboard the Federation Shuttle KRAUSS.
Contact was made with a species known as the Denar who reported that they were being hunted by the Fistlings. The Fistling race was contacted and through lengthy discourse an agreement not to interfer with the Denar was reached. Contact was also made with a species called the Bendar. This species claimed to be protecting the Fistlings and requested no further interference from the Federation for the next 100 years. this request was granted.
The Terran Historian, Harry Nielsen, was in fact a member of the Tal Shiar, who placed two explosive devices onboard the USS AURORA, both of which were diffused before complete detonation. The Tal Shiar agent escaped onboard a Romulan Warbird, deep in Federation Space.
The USS AURORA was then recalled to SB GAMMA to prepare for their next mission
