Successfully
completed the first year of Art and Design at Box Hill TAFE before gaining
a place at Swinburne College studying Graphic Design.
A change of direction
led to a preference for the fine arts as opposed to Graphic Design. This led
to the first exhibition at Tala gallery.
Traveled extensively
throughout Australia before gaining successful entry into Prahran College
to study Fine Art,majoring in Drawing.
Studied Ceramics
at night at the Gasworks Studios and attended life drawing classes ,which
has been an ongoing pursuit.
Transferred to printmaking
at the Victorian College of the Arts. Participated in group exhibitions including
the Illustrators' Association of Australia exhibition at Roar Studios.
Exhibited at Xavante
Gallery St Kilda and worked on a commission basis for several clients producing
mainly figurative works in mixed-media.
Traveled for three
months throughout Indonesia, studying the culture and gaining inspiration
for a new series f paintings and drawings.
Artist-in-Residence
at Legian, Bali, for a period of two months before traveling to Europe to
gain further artistic experience.
Returned to Australia
to work to collate work for an exhibitions at Jackman Gallery St Kilda, Orange
Cafe, Windsor, andas well as illustrating a book on Erotic Mythology published
in 2000.
Large commission
designing an interactive environment for preschool children for use on a national
Australian basis.
Most recently, living
in far-eastern Gippsland, developing a personal style, drawing and painting
surrounding flora and fauna. |
