It's a fine line between pleasure and pain...
This is the last update before the departure on the 19th of October, click here to find out more about the send off.
As you can imagine I am starting to get a little nervous, after months of concentrating on preparing the trip you realise it's just about time to say good byes, to your friends and family. Obviously I will miss my children immensely, my daughter Virginia 18, my son Daniel 21 and my grandson
Asher who has just turned one. My son also rides a CBR 600 Honda.
My partner Sue who has to sacrifice a lot, understandably, she has not always been supportive, every time something would not go according to plan she would say to me "why don't you just quit then" or, when asked what I should call this trip, she would say "how about Didier's definitely last trip".
Thank you for doing most of the house cleaning lately, I know I have being slack, I will miss you Sue.

Susan
The bike is ready, thanks to David Killeen from Southbank motorcycles. Scott Norman carried out the service and the minor modifications in a most professional way, I was very impressed with the work shop, a formula one garage could not be more tidy and clean. I spent a day with Scott while he was working on my bike trying to teach me a few things, mostly on
Final preparations with Scott
servicing the bike while on the road; he showed a lot of patience.
Ready to go at last
I have decided that the money that will be raise will go to a project call EDUCATION IN AFRICA as well as child sponsorship of course. Click here to find out all the details on those projects.

A bientôt.
